Project Report | Nov 20, 2023
Workshops for teachers

By Elizabeth A Appleyard | Program Administrator

Giving Tuesday is coming up on 28 November and GlobalGiving is giving away $1.2 million in bonus funds!!

The more money we raise that day through donations to our projects, the greater our share of the bonus funds.

Can you help us by donating on Tuesday 28th November?

Afghanistan's development is tied to the development of education in the country and AIL is committed to making the process of new teaching methods inclusive and nurturing  and supporting the education system.

Recently, AIL held a teacher training workshops  for 500 teachers and women in Bamyan Province. The topics discussed included new methods of teaching, leadership and management, health and reproductive health.

One way AIL supports Afghanistan's knowledge and education, is through Meraj TV, which  provides university, school and literacy lessons that are taught by qualified professors. This helps girls not to fall behind in education. The education officials and teachers of Bamyan Province should recommend these alternative educational programs to students in their schools so that they do not fall behind in education.

Meraj Academy is the educational program broadcast on TV Meraj. This program gives access to a comprehensive 7-12th grade education via TV programs and is aimed at all students, but especially girls who are unable to attend school. Teachers are trained specifically to provide lessons through this medium and how to load content to youtube and interact with students via social media.

Your support for AIL’s teacher training programs makes all the difference! Thank you.
