Recent Teaching Training Workshop

All of us at Creating Hope International (CHI) and the Afghan Institute of Learning (AIL) would like to sincerely thank everyone for their support of training Afghan teachers. We’ve had a very successful year thus far and we are looking forward to the months ahead. Thanks to your support, we are able to hold training seminars and workshops for the teachers at our centers to make them more effective in methodology, student retention, and technique.

In 2012, we held 130 teacher training workshops and seminars reaching some 1,478 teachers, 1,229 of which were female. These workshops covered topics such as technique, leadership, and health. They also offered teachers individual specialization seminars for courses like Arabic, English, mathematics, testing methods, computer technology, and problem solving just to name a few. AIL also sponsored 96 other training seminars open to teachers as well as students; these trainings reached over 4,000 Afghans. They trained students in a variety of subjects including social justice, health, and leadership. Participants in these seminars are making a real difference in their communities by taking up leadership roles and working to transform people’s lives.

Thanks to donations like yours, we have been able to train teachers to be more capable at teaching students relevant materials in a focused, energetic, and methodologically sound manner. Students in our centers are learning more because they have superior teachers who are very competent and possess a large base of knowledge. We have goals to reach even more teachers this year because it is so evident how effective these training are. Again, we wish to thank you for your support!
