Project Report | Mar 9, 2020
Distribution of Food Aid in December

By Elizabeth Appleyard | Program Officer

Our project 1155 Fast Track Education for Afghan Women and Girls has a chance to win a place in the GlobalGiving Girl Fund!

Donate to project 1155 today and help us get into the fund which provides monthly funds for a whole year! The more people who donate the better our chances!

In December 2019, 200 packages of food items, including cooking oil, wheat, peas, beans, and tomato paste were distributed to poor families and residents in the northern areas of Herat. Most of these people are internally displaced persons. The beneficiaries were targeted by the Department of Women’s Affairs and the distribution took place in coordination with that department. When the  weather gets cold greater stress is placed on  these people who are too poor to buy the food they need. These packages provide sustenance for a few months.

Thank you for your support.

AIL is working towards: SDG Goal 4 – Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
