We are so excited about a brand new project that began in January in Kabul, Afghanistan. At two of AIL’s Kabul Learning Centers, new computer equipment was purchased with help from a very generous donor, and a special six month program was launched to 240 students at each center. These students will specifically study two subjects - English and Computers. English class will include grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary; and the Computer class will begin with an introduction to computers and windows programs and then accelerate to learn specific software applications. This program will soon be implemented in Herat Province also. We are expecting great results from this project.
Please keep in mind that Wednesday, March 14, 2012 is Bonus Day through Global Giving. Donations up to $1,000.00 will be provided with a 30% match. The bonus allotment is $50,000.00 and the period runs from 12:01 AM EST until the funds are exhausted. So, if you would like your donation to go a little further with the help of Global Giving, give early on March 14th. Thank you!
