Computing is a vital modern skill and AIL’s computer classes are always oversubscribed. There has been an increase in computing students to 257 in Kabul and Herat. All of the Herat students are female. The AIL Youth Club which has 100 members (50 female) offers classes in computing and education around the subject of computers and the internet.
The Yacoobi private schools prioritise computing skills in all grades as this skill is vital to modern day living. Students learn about software applications such as word, excel, publisher and learn how to type at speed.
Students of Meraj Academy use computing skills to aid in their studies and can communicate with their teachers virtually. Meraj Academy provides grades 7-12 lessons via TV and Youtube with interaction with students through social media.
Computing skills lead to jobs and graduates of AIL classes are often able to find work without difficulty.
