Computing is always popular

By Elizabeth A Appleyard | Program Administrator

In June, there were 143 computer students at Herat area Learning Centers and 379 at Kabul area centers. AIL receives requests for computer classes from many centers and works to provide the necessary equipment and teaching staff. The number of students studying computing is only limited by the capacity that AIL has to provide what is needed.

One center in Kabul has 268 students and 113 of them are learning computing, 149 English, and 100 Arabic. This shows the popularity and importance of computing to people with as many females as males learning computing at this center.

Gaining computer skills is a gateway to opportunity for young people. The vast majority of computer class graduates gain jobs easily.

Your support is vital in helping us maintain our programs.
