Newsflash: Dr. Yacoobi  is one of BBC 100 Women 2017!

AIL promotes modern skills, including computing in its education curriculum wherever possible. Both male and female students want to learn computer use, internet skills and coding. They are interested and they know computing skills will be useful in the job market. In one month in Herat there were 218 students studying computing including 118 females. In Kabul, in that same month there were 153 computer students. 

WLC manager states, “AIL provides great opportunities to Afghan people. People should take advantage of the benefits of their services. Other organizations require paid fees to learn. AIL provides free courses to all people. One of the students said, “My name is Hewad. I am a student of the computer class. I have finished the Access program and I am now in the 14^th grade. After finishing this course, I want to be a teacher in one of the schools. The LC has effectively taught me computer programs. I am thankful to the AIL office for providing this opportunity.”
