This summer AfricAid expanded the Kisa Project, a project that trains girls in leadership, entreprenuership, and life-skills training during their last two years of secondary school, to Moshi, Tanzania. With this expansion came 4 new partner schools with each school receiving an updated computer lab for Kisa Scholars and other students attending the secondary school to have access to internet and computer technology. As of August 2014, these four computer labs have all been updated and added onto. Now Kisa Scholars can communicate to their US sponsors and students can learn Microsoft Software, typing skills, and have access to research the World Wide Web for class assignments. Empowering students with a computer lab has been a focus of AfricAid because we have found that the more students who have access to these techonologies, the more likely they will be fully equipped for University or a job in the future.
We want to give our donors a special thanks for making this happen!
