Dear Donors,
Thank you for your interest in the After-Class Health Clubs on Nigerian Campuses project. At this time, no donations have been received, so the planned health club activities have not yet started.
Across many universities in Nigeria, students face health challenges without access to proper support. Mental health concerns, lack of HIV awareness, and unreported cases of violence continue to affect students’ safety and academic life. Many are unable to seek help due to cost or lack of available services on campus.
Without safe spaces to talk or receive guidance, students are left to manage these challenges on their own. This can affect their focus, well-being, and ability to remain in school.
This project is designed to create after-class health clubs in universities where students can receive support in a safe and familiar environment. The clubs will offer health education, counseling, HIV testing, and guidance on personal safety and care.
With these clubs in place, students will have a place to learn, ask questions, and receive help when needed. It will also encourage more open discussions around health and reduce the fear that prevents many from seeking support.
We appreciate your time in learning about this effort and remain hopeful that support will come so these clubs can begin and support students across campuses.
Sincerely,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
