Winter poses serious challenges for orphan children from low-income backgrounds, especially those attending government schools where resources are limited. Without proper winter clothing, many students struggle to attend school regularly, risking illness, absenteeism, and disrupted learning.

To address this need, Alkhidmat Foundation organized a winter uniforms distribution drive specifically for orphan students in government schools across Sialkot. Each child received a warm school uniform, ensuring protection from the cold while maintaining confidence and dignity in the classroom.

Teachers and school administrations reported positive feedback, noting improved attendance and morale among orphan students. Parents and guardians also expressed heartfelt appreciation for the support, which eased their financial burden during winter.

These activities are part of Alkhidmat’s ongoing efforts to ensure holistic development—physical, emotional, and academic—for all children residing in Aghosh Homes across Pakistan.

Story / Update

Aghosh Homes provide full-time boarding, education, character development, and emotional support for orphan children—whom we proudly call our Brave Children. Beyond academic learning, co-curricular activities play a crucial role in shaping confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills.

To nurture these qualities, Alkhidmat organized Sports Gala and Speech Competitions spanning all 23 Aghosh Homes across the country.

Activities included:

• Football, cricket, athletics, and indoor games as part of the Sports Gala

• Speech competitions focused on motivation, character, and national themes

• Interactive group activities promoting teamwork and confidence

• Talent showcase sessions highlighting creativity and communication skills

More than hundreds of orphan children participated with passion and enthusiasm, creating a joyful and motivating environment. These activities helped build physical fitness, public speaking abilities, and a sense of belonging among Aghosh residents.
