Annual Book Fair at Aghosh College Murree

By Muhammad Imad Ud Din | Project Leader

The students of Aghosh College Murree recently celebrated their Annual Book Fair, a vibrant event designed to encourage reading habits, critical thinking, and a lifelong love for knowledge. The fair brought together students, teachers, and book enthusiasts in an atmosphere filled with learning, creativity, and inspiration.

Event Highlights

  • Book Stalls & Exhibits – A wide range of books, from academic resources to literature and motivational titles, were displayed for students.

  • Interactive Sessions – Teachers and guest speakers engaged with students, highlighting the importance of reading beyond the classroom.

  • Competitions & Activities – Students participated in debates, book reviews, and creative writing contests, showcasing their talent and confidence.

  • Community Spirit – The event fostered teamwork and a sense of pride, as students helped organize and manage different stalls.

Story of Change

One student expressed:

“This book fair opened a whole new world for me. I discovered books I had never seen before, and now I feel motivated to read more every day.”

The principal of Aghosh College Murree appreciated the initiative, noting that such activities help shape students into well-rounded individuals who not only excel academically but also grow in imagination and leadership.

Future Plans / Next Steps

Building on this success, Aghosh College plans to:

  • Expand the fair by inviting local schools and colleges in future editions.

  • Introduce book donation drives to strengthen the college library.

  • Hold monthly reading circles to sustain students’ engagement with books throughout the year.

Thank You

We extend heartfelt gratitude to our donors, supporters, and the dedicated teaching staff who made this event possible. Your continued support ensures that Aghosh College remains a nurturing place where orphans and deserving students grow into leaders of tomorrow—well-read, confident, and inspired.

With gratitude,
Team Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan
