By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your support to our project providing relief to evacuees as a result of the siege by ISIS-inspired militants to Marawi City. The siege is still continuing as of this reporting and this is really very difficult for civilians who are affected. Thousands of people are displaced and are either staying in evacuation centers or with their relatives. Those staying with their relatives are very hard to reach and difficult to support. Our team has mobilized youth volunteers coming from an allied youth organization called Association of Locally-Empowered Youth in Northern Mindanao and they were the ones who distributed relief goods to home-based evacuees. This reporting period we reached-out to 320 evacuees and provided them with food items and hygiene kits.
Again, thank you very much for your support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
