Challenge

Post-election riots and violence have erupted across Kenya. An estimated 800 people have been killed (including dozens burned alive while hiding in a church in Eldoret) and over 250,000 Kenyans have fled their homes.

Solution

GlobalGiving will disburse donated funds to organizations providing aid in Kenya. Needs include food, medical supplies, transportation, shelter, clothes, and counseling for victims who have been beaten or raped.

Long-Term Impact

Aid will support vulnerable Kenyans who have been displaced or victimized by post-election violence. With support from around the world Kenya can hopefully return to peace and stability.
