Bringing Hope to Caracas and La Guaira

On August 22, the Coromoto 2020 team, together with an extraordinary group of dedicated volunteers and strategic partners, carried out an extensive humanitarian relief operation across Caracas and La Guaira. Through this unified effort, thousands of essential food supplies and specialized baby care kits were assembled and directly delivered to vulnerable families and community canteens.

As part of the food distribution initiative, a total of 1,525 food bags were delivered to local communities, including 625 bags for families in Caracas and 900 bags for communities in La Guaira. Furthermore, more than 9,000 kg of essential food items were allocated to support community canteens operating between Caracas and La Guaira.

In addition to the food drive, and through vital partnerships, 600 specialized Child Recovery Kits were assembled for infants aged 0 to 12 months. Each kit was carefully packed with fundamental hygiene and nutrition supplies, including a blanket, a pack of diapers, wet wipes, baby formula, powdered milk, fruit puree, a baby bottle, a drinking cup, a U-shaped toothbrush, and an ear and nose cleaner. Immediately following the packing session in Caracas, volunteers traveled to La Guaira to hand-deliver these essential kits directly to the families in need.

This achievement would not have been possible without the passion, energy, and selfless dedication of our volunteers. From assembling kits early in the morning to personally delivering aid across various communities, your unwavering hard work continues to transform lives and prove that love will always be stronger than hunger.

Community Support and Education

On Saturday, May 23rd, Coromoto2020 successfully carried out three major initiatives aimed at supporting and empowering the most vulnerable communities across the Greater Caracas area. Driven by a core mission to restore human dignity and contribute to sustainable community development, these activities focused on immediate nutritional relief, advanced teacher training, and vocational education to strengthen the capabilities of Venezuelan families in need.

The day began with a massive food distribution effort. The organization organized and packed a total of 3,000 kilograms of food, which was distributed in bulk crates to community kitchens across 10 different neighborhoods. In addition to the communal kitchen supplies, volunteers prepared and delivered 1,240 individual food bags directly to families spanning 15 vulnerable communities, providing essential nutritional support where it is needed most.

Simultaneously, Coromoto2020 continued its commitment to local education by supporting a group of public and parochial school teachers from the Diocese of La Guaira. These educators gathered at the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB) to advance their professional training. Specifically, 54 teachers attended classes for the Diploma in Pedagogical Mediation of Learning, while another 31 teachers advanced their skills in the Diploma in Computational Thinking, investing in tools that will ultimately elevate the quality of education for thousands of students.

In collaboration with "Trabajo y Persona" Association and "Pan de Tata" company, the organization also launched a specialized course in Human Development, Entrepreneurship, and Technical Bakery Training. This new cohort consists of 27 participants from the San Francisco Javier School, located in the Lídice sector of La Pastora parish. The diverse group brings together teenage students, schoolteachers, and maintenance staff, all working side-by-side to learn a valuable trade and build entrepreneurial skills for their future.

Through these combined efforts in nutrition, professional education, and vocational training, Coromoto2020 aims to maximize the potential of individuals and build a stronger foundation for local families. While it is impossible to help everyone, this impactful day proved that everyone can do their part to help someone.

Food Delivery Programme - Florida

Dear Supporter,

Thanks for your aid at Coromoto 2020 and for being part of the Food Delivery Programme in Florida. As we start the New Year, we would like to wish you health, hope and peace and to share how your generosity has made a meaningful difference.

Throughout 2025 and particularly during the holiday season, our partner and volunteers supported individuals and families facing food insecurity, economic hardship and social vulnerability across southern Florida. Rising living costs, unstable employment, and limited access to assistance are placing increasing pressure on many households, making timely food support especially important.

With your support, the programme achieved the following key outputs:

4,800 Food Parcels distributed across 10 outreach locations
570 Hot Meals prepared and delivered during targeted sessions
22,606 Kilograms of Food distributed
17,243 individuals reached, representing approximately 5,200 families
Collaboration with 14 Partners Organisations, supported by dedicated volunteers

The programme reached a wide range of people, including migrants and asylum seekers, unhoused individuals, elderly citizens, women and children in protective services, foster families with hospitalised children and individuals in rehabilitation programmes. Support was provided based on need, regardless of background or immigration status.

Beyond these figures, the impact was deeply human. Families experienced reduced immediate hunger and financial pressure, allowing them to prioritise other basic needs such as housing, utilities and healthcare. For many, receiving food assistance offered reassurance and stability during periods of uncertainty.
