During my recent visit to Venezuela, I witnessed firsthand the harsh realities of a country grappling with dual currencies, triple-digit inflation, and severe economic disparities. The most glaring issue is hunger, exacerbated by a basic salary of $30 a month, while a basic food basket costs $300.
In a powerful moment, we delivered 1,500 food parcels to vulnerable families, addressing not only hunger but also contributing to food security, nutrition, and sustainability.
I am honoured that our efforts in the UK contribute to a broader initiative, creating a meaningful partnership that transcends borders. As we work towards a world with zero hunger, your support is crucial.
