Marcos Pilavakis Challenge: Run For Venezuela (Peer-to-peer-fundraising from London, UK)

By Thamy Ixer | Fundraising and Development Team

On the 25th of September, Marcos Pilavakis completed his “Run for Venezuela Challenge”, which consisted of three 10K runs, completed in two weeks, to raise vital funds for Coromoto 2020 in support of vulnerable families in Venezuela. His commitment to helping and his love for the Venezuelan people are reflected in his words:

“15 years ago, I set foot for the first time in Venezuela and fell in love with the country and its people. To see what is happening now in Venezuela pains me, and the images I see are a stark contrast to the beautiful memories I carry. While I sit in London and observe from afar, there are innocent families caught up in the turmoil who are suffering and need our help”

The £500 raised through his efforts will directly support our Food Delivery Campaign on the 16th of November, helping families in desperate need across Venezuela. We are confident that this campaign will provide essential aid, create more awareness about Venezuela’s current situation, and encourage others to join the effort to help the country.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all donors who kindly supported Marcos’ challenge through their generous contributions, making a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable families. The success of this campaign will rely on collective cooperation, showing the impact of international support.

Coromoto 2020 will continue to ensure that the aid reaches those most in need, empowering families and fostering resilience in the face of ongoing crises, thanks to our donors and supporters.
