Americares Resilience Fund

By Lauren Rutledge | Senior Manager

Donations made to Americares Resilience Fund help to sustain our vital programming around the world. The loss of U.S. foreign aid funding have disrupted or stopped critical programs that:

  • Provide essential medical care, mental health services and health education for 15,000 Venezuelan migrants and other underserved populations in Colombia. This includes prenatal care and treatment for potentially deadly infections, dangerous high blood pressure and other serious health conditions.
  • Improve maternal and neonatal health outcomes for an estimated 1.2 million mothers and children in Tanzania. This includes more than doubling the number of newborns receiving postnatal care and reducing verbal and physical abuse during labor and delivery.
  • Would expand services for mothers and children at Americares Family Clinic in eastern El Salvador to provide more patients in rural communities with high-quality, low-cost health services.
  • Would support a more robust medical supply chain and increase deliveries of desperately needed aid for health facilities across Gaza.

Funds raised will help provide flexible support to help fill funding gaps as a result of the loss of these funds, there is still a long way to go.

Millions of people around the world depend on humanitarian assistance to survive. Now, children and adults in the most desperate situations will suffer or even die. Fragile health systems will be overwhelmed.

Americares has a long history of responding to humanitarian crises. We’ve seen firsthand their devastating impacts – on families, communities and futures. The vital work of Americares will continue, but now more than ever, we need support to deliver on our mission to help people and communities around the world access health in times of disaster and every day.
