Unprecedented heavy rains trigger flooding in many parts of the war-torn country, Yemen. Thousands of people have lost their homes, internally displaced people have lost their tents and belongings, and thousands of houses have been damaged in many cities of Yemen. For example, in Sana'a, the capital, the flooding caused extensive to more than 200 homes according to official reports. This project aims to help the homeless people of Sana'a, and assist in the reconstruction of the houses.
The heavy rains have caused tremendous damage to many houses in Sana'a. Thousands of people have become homeless and jobless. Many roads and dams have been destroyed too. Therefore, the people in the flood-affected areas have sent SOS to all humanitarian organizations. They need urgent material support and financial assistance. Besides, they need long-term rehabilitation. Great damage everywhere.
This project aims to help those affected people in Sana'a and nearby areas by the implementation of a long-term development plan. It also aims to extend urgent assistance to those homeless people. The project will assist the reconstruction of homes and public buildings, and also help to restore people's means of livelihood.
