ANASA Program - Impoverished Families Empowerment

Since 2023, Emfasis Team has dedicated its efforts to relieve, support and mobilize families vulnerable families & single parent families living below poverty line.

Through our initiatives more than 120 individuals, adults & children, have received the necessary resources to meet their most urgent needs, which vary from food aid & medical care services to partial pay of rental costs. 

More recently, we had the opportunity to equip many of these families with new small household appliances such as frying pans & pots.

What is more, we have been implementing psychosocial advisory sessions on a weekly basis, which have received a huge response, with more and more of our beneficiaries enganging in the process.

In particular, when it comes to single-parent mothers, we have observed a significant improvement in their mental health state and an increase of their self-esteem.

Read below the words from one of the ANASA Program beneficiary:

"Thank you so much, my child, for the company and the goodies you bring me every time, if you knew how much I look forward to you coming and seeing you, to share my week with someone, to lean on someone who cares for me practically, without expecting anything in return or seeing me as an obstacle in his way and putting his head down lest I spoil his aesthetics". 

As we head into winter, we are focusing on covering the excessive heating costs & providing space heaters and dehumidifiers. 

At the same time, with respect to our beneficiaries expressed urge, our aim is to intensify our psychosocial support by multiplying our sessions. 

With your support, our dedicated teams of certified streetworkers & volunteers will keep on their efforts to secure decent living conditions for the most vulnerable members of our society.

Our wish is to positively impact the quality of life of these families, conducting our mission with the utmost respect and discretion.
