Dear Valued Supporters,
We are proud to share with you the latest update from the Animal-Assisted Therapy Program at the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo—another year of deeply meaningful work made possible by your generous support.
Even in these challenging times of conflict, the Zoo has continued to serve as a much-needed island of calm and healing for children with special needs. This summer, we were honored to host 18 therapy groups, including 10 from Jewish institutions and 8 from Arab institutions across Jerusalem. This diverse participation is a testament to the unifying power of animals and the sanctuary the Zoo provides for all communities.
Our dedicated team of six therapists rose to the occasion with compassion, creativity, and resilience, ensuring that each child received the support, connection, and joy that defines our program—even amidst uncertainty.
Your continued partnership allows us to keep this vital program running and to offer comfort, learning, and healing to those who need it most.
Thank you for being an essential part of this journey.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Animal-Assisted Therapy Team
Jerusalem Biblical Zoo
