Greetings Animal Lovers!
Our education program has many aspects, from actual booklets, flyers, posted signs along roadways telling people of our gratis spay/neuter programs. Another aspect is the information spread by the local organizers for our many mobile spay/neuter and veterinary care visits.
Recently RAR was in a rural village near Campina providing spay and neuter. The village has no vet, and the surrounding towns vets are too costly for most of the impoverished residents.
An elderly woman heard that our vet team would be in her village. Her dog, Tiny, had a huge tumor on her stomach. Tiny is all Mrs. Georgescu has in the world, and they love one another dearly. Mrs. Georgescu brought Tiny to the spayathon with the hopes that our vets could help.......and help they did! Tiny was brought back to the Center of Hope where she received surgery to remove the tumor and stayed for a week's recovery. She was reunited with Mrs. Georgescu and they will live happily ever after.
This is such rewarding work, to help those who feel there is no one who will help. This is what motivates us each and every day. Thank you for supporting our work.
