Education Expands to Reach New Communities

By Nancy Janes | President, CEO and Founder Romania Animal Rescue

Romania Animal Rescue is reaching out with education to more and more places!   Education books have been sent to Arad, Sighetu, Barlad, Bucau, and Craiova.   Often accompanying our spayathon actions in towns and villages, these books complete a circle of education and animal welfare.

Carmen in Buzau has asked for books for her community as well and we hope to start an education campaign for the school children she teaches in Buzau.

Our Homeless Animals Hospital in Craiova invites high school students and their teachers Carmen and Otilia to come to the clinic, allowing  students the opportunity to listen to animal heart beats through a stethescope, view ultrasounds, xrays, and get hands-on experience with animals in need.  Our goal is to set a new standard for animal welfare and well-being, with the hopes that these students will choose to become a vet or nurse as their career.

Along with our education book program, RAR promotes and sponsors  veterinary training education.   We currently are sponsoring a vet from Slatina, Dr. Nae Cornel, for an internship at the Homeless Animals Hospital for a month.  Following this, we hope to send Dr. Cornel for the intense Veterinary Training Camp program, sponsored by Romania Animal Rescue, so that he will learn keyhole incision surgeries for spaying, minimally invasive surgical techniques, anesthesia protocol, and pain management.

Thank you for helping Romania Animal Rescue with our many goals and projects.   We are currently in the process of fundraising for a mobile clinic to reach out to even more extremely poor villages, where spay/neuter and education is vital.  I hope you can support us with your donation so that we can print even more education books to start programs in poor villages.

Thank you freinds!
