Dear Romania Animal Rescue Supporters and Friends,

Our education program is helping in so many areas of Romania!  Spay campaigns include the handing out of the educational booklets so that locals can understand what true animal welfare is and how to go about practicing it in their homes and communities.  RAR has worked in over 50 cities, towns and villages in Romania and helped approximately  40 local charities and organizations.  We share and distribute educational books to numerous communities and charities who hold education days at schools or in their shelters.   To date Romania Animal Rescue and our sister charity Animal Spay Neuter International have spayed and neutered over 48,400 animals....this is education at its core and accompanied with the education books teaches animal welfare to thousands!

Recently I was in Romania as a volunteer for a number of spayathons.  I saw young and old reading the booklets, sharing them with their friends and others waiting for animals that were being spayed/neutered.   My friend and fellow USA volunteer Ingrid and I were able to hand the booklets out to villagers and invite them to bring their animals in for free spay neuter campaigns as well.

The best news is the new Center of HOPE, still under construction, will house our Education and Seminar Center on the second floor as well as providing a few rooms for visiting vets and volunteers.    Educational films will be shown to children and adults during the many seminars we intend to hold at the Center, and plans include having fun events for locals and children from schools to come and interact with the animals, learn about animal welfare, and see what our vet team and vet techs jobs entail, with the hopes that some of these children will take up the field of animal welfare as a career in the future.  We also will holding vet training seminars at the Center of Hope with our vet team training other vets on keyhole incision methods and other surgical procedures, as well as inviting international experts to come and train at this Center near Bucharest.

We want to encourage the human bond with animals, something I believe we are born with, but often gets thwarted along the way.   Teach them when they are young that they are on the right path, to follow their passion and that RAR will be there to help. Encourage them when they need help, and further the education of our colleagues.  This is our goal.

I hope you will support us with our new Center of Hope by donating to continued construction for the Center of HOPE.   We need to purchase heating, air, equipment for our veterinary work (tables, lamps, instruments, xray, iso machines, monitoring equipment,  autoclaves, etc)  as well as interactive materials for the education room.

Thank you in advance for your help, and I wish you the very best!   Please enjoy the photos and the video of our spaymobile HOPE reaching very rural communities this past year.
