Greetings Everyone!
I have wonderful news! The Center of Hope is open! We have been providing veterinary care, spay and neuter, and held 2 education seminars thusfar!
The Center of Hope is now able to help with our projects for education for the public, rescuers, children, and veterinarians. The first seminar was held mid-February. Our friends from Hobo Dogs Finland flew in animal behaviorists to train caregivers how to handle and interact with the animals. The second seminar was held in mid-March, Equine Veterinarian Training day. Equine vet specialists instructed vets and vet students during this weekend event, bringing together the best of the best in Romania to train more vets. More seminars are planned in April with animal behaviorists, a dental seminar for veterinarians, and in May a bone specialist seminar. We are currently coordinating flights and times for animal eye specialists to come to Romania to train vets on cataract surgeries and more at the seminar Center.
The Center of Hope also is the location for the Veterinary Training Camp. Romania Animal Rescue provides scholarships for Romanian and Bulgarian vets to attend this intense course to learn higher surgical skill levels with spay and neuter techniques in particular.
And, we are reaching the children! With more printed books thanks to your support. We also have printed our first Romania Animal Rescue coloring books and have sent them over with markers for the children in the village where Center of Hope is located. Also, special RAR logo hats with the pawprint to signify change is happening for the animals in Romania!
We are thrilled to welcome Global Giving representative Skye who plans to visit us on location in Romania on March 24!
I hope you will continue to support our education project. We reach out to children, vets, techs, rescuers, locals....everyone is welcome and invited to learn about animal welfare with our projects that rely on YOUR support to continue. I hope you will help us again!
Thank you!
