Hello Friends!
Romania Animal Rescue has set the plans to begin a classroom education project in Craiova. This project will be led by the instructor Carmen Georgescu, who teaches in Craiova. Carmen has been a great animal activist and we have worked closely with her on many projects. She is very active with her students and well respected in the community.
We will be giving 300 education books to start this project, and Dr. Aurelian Stefan, our Veterinary Director, will also be talking to the students about animal husbandry and welfare. Students will also be invited to the veterinary clinic in Craiova to encourage them to choose the veterinary profession as their career.
In addition to this program, we are continuing to hand out education books at mobile campaigns as well as at the Center of Hope near Bucharest. The more people we can reach, the better!
The Center of Hope also holds education programs for rescuers and veterinarians. In July, RAR hosted the "Let Them See Again" seminar with Dr. Joao Kleiner, renowned opthamologist, to train at the Veterinary University in Bucharest on cataract sugery skills for veterinarians.
Please support our continuing education program. It is so vital to reach as many people as possible!
Thank you!
