Animal Welfare Education in Romania

Greetings Friends!

We are working hard every day to spay/neuter, run the Homeless Animals Hospital project, continue sponsoring the Veterinary Training for Romanian and Bulgarian vets, and educate the community on animal welfare.   This is what we are asking for your help with this Fall and Winter.   Education is needed so desperately in the poorest areas of Romania where our team works.

We have printed and distributed 18,200, twenty page ,full color education books for both children and adults to learn the importance of spay/neuter and basic pet handling skills.  These books accompany us on our spay campaigns throughout Romania for distribution to the communities we reach.   We also have shared these books with a school teacher, Carmen, in Craiova to begin her classroom education project.  

But we need more books.   Our Center of Hope is becoming the "talk of the town" in Piteasca village.  Friends have sent clothes and toys for local children in the village for distribution by our Team.   We are reaching the children and elderly who need help as well as their animals, gaining their trust with a helping hand for them and the animals in their care.  This gives us a golden opportunity to share more books, coloring books, and our hats with children.

The cost to print one book is $1.39 each.  The cost to produce one hat is $12.  I hope you can help us to continue and expand this project.  We have recently sent 200 books to Bacau area for a school education program there.  We can do this, but we need your help.
