As the seasons change so does the needs of animals and birds. In summers the problem hitting high was that of dehydration. Now as the monsoon is here there are different problems all together and so are their solutions. The problems faced by animals during the monsoon are as follows:

  1. Wet and soggy fur
  2. Body odour
  3. Viral and flu
  4. Disturbed health
  5. Wet and dirty bedding
  6. Paws infection
  7. Getting scared because of lightening and thunderstorm

The solutions to all the problems are as follows:

-          Try and provide a shelter to the stray animals to keep them away from getting wet

-          If you find any animal in sick or ill condition, take it to nearby animal hospital

-          Feed them as and when possible

-          Drive carefully and move parked vehicle only after checking for any animal under it

-          Get them vaccinated

-          Pat them dry

-          Give them some soothing care and warmth

The stray animals are the ones who suffer the most in any of the seasons. They need more care and attention. You must be kind to the homeless and stray animals. Whenever you see any stray in a disturbed condition, take it to the nearby hospital. Try and give them shelter during monsoons and pat them dry to save them from viral and flu. Get them vaccinated for free of cost from Jivdaya Charitable Trust.

The animal care on wheel’s report for last week of June is as follows:

Van A1: New cases – 50, Follow up cases – 42, and Cases closed – 23

Van A2: New cases – 50, Follow up cases – 33, and Cases Closed – 28

Van A3: New cases – 45, Follow up cases – 36, and Cases Closed – 25

That sums up to 145 New cases, 111 Follow up cases, and 76 cases were closed.

We request our Donors to support us. This season will require a lot of care and attention to animals. Donate and support to provide care and treatment to homeless/ stray animals.
