Neelam Park Society Jain Sangh purchases hundreds of goats and sheep from bazaar(Mandi- a big livestock market) that are mostly destined to end up in slaughter houses or exported for the same purpose out of the country.
These animals, consisting of infants, young and adults, are in a very bad condition when they are brought from the Mandi due to in-human handling of the slaughterers, exporters or commercial minds who think only of their selfish gains.
Almost 50% of infants and older ones are sick . Almost all are dehydrated and hungry.
Our Trust comes to their rescue by training the entire staff , including, Vets, Para-vets, other staff and in and out-house vounteers for emergency management of the animals once they are released from the trucks in the society camp.
Our Trust runs its three mobile clinic vans on this day along with its staff and medical facilities to take care of almost 1000 Goats and Sheep.
Once the animals are gently released from the truck , they are categorised as per their age and physical conditions.
After thorough checking by the staff, all of them are fed and re-hydrated with approximately 25 litres of milk and more than 40 bowls of water .
If needed medication is done and treatment given in the camp itself by our Vets. Even local community is involved in this rescue operation.
Those critical and need further care and treatment are taken back to the trust Hospital and kept till full recovery.
Those that are normal and able to move after feeding and on- the - spot treatment are then tagged to be taken to another shelter "Mandal Panjrapole"( a shelter for lifetime for old or sick cattles and other livestocks).
The animals brought to the hospital are then taken care and sheltered till complete recovery to be sent back to the Mandal Panjrapole to be re-united with their families, where they live happily and safely ever after.
This "Rescuing Program" is conducted on a large scale involving entire staff , mobile vans, medicines and food.
We are indebted to all our kind donors for their constant monetary support that has made us stronger and capable of conducting such large scale rescue of innocent and speechless animals with efficiency.
We kindly request you to keep your unwavered faith on us and donate generously in future, to keep the rescue and other programs for the welfare of animals in need, running smoothly and efficiently.
