Dental Tartar is a form of bacterial infection build-up on a dog’s teeth that can lead to serious health problems and damage of the ligaments that hold the teeth into the jaw and often to the bone of the jaw itself. Pain associated with dental tarter can cause quite dramatic changes in behavior such as aggression, depression, lethargy, rubbing the mouth or face, and difficulty in eating food. Approximately 80% of dogs have some form of dental disease by the time they are 3-4 years old, As a result, many strays suffer unnecessary pain, gum infection, tooth loss, and even death from associated infections if not treated in time.
Recently we have come across one such case attended by our mobile treatment van when we received a call near Sabarmati, Ahmedabad for Jasmine.
Jasmine is a beautiful 4 years old pampered female stray who has been under care of her local owner Jagatji(name changed) since she was a kid. As per Jagatji, Jasmine stopped eating from last 4 to 5 days and was having severe salaivation.
He was extremely concerned about her health and explain the condition briefly to our doctor. After examination our team found that Jasmine has a severe bacterial infection on her mouth. The team has collected blood samples to confirm the infection in our own pathology lab. Our Animal Care On Wheels team has provided Jasmine with the necessary medication, care and follow-up treatment. With the help of our team Jasmine is doing much better now. We wish a speedy recovery for her.
We thank you whole-heartedly for your generosity and kindness. It is our duty to take care of every beautiful creations of mother nature. Together we can protect and nurture all the speechless souls, Come, let’s save them together.
