December- The coldest month of the year. The season of chills is a challenge for furry beings. During cold nights we snuggle into our blankets and jackets. Our furry friends on the streets have no option but to suffer through the cold. In such a scenario, imagine the plight of strays on the streets, who often must battle bone-chilling temperatures, including unexpected winter showers, which come with some deadly viral infections such as the highly contagious parvo canine virus.
Miserable time for our stray friends means the busiest time for our ‘Animal Care on Wheels’ team. The challenging work of our team helped us archive below mentioned number of treatments during December.
Animal care on wheels Cases
Cases attended by Ambulance 1 707
Cases attended by Ambulance 2 604
Cases attended by Ambulance 3 634
Total 1945
New Cases 722
Follow Up 1223
Closed Cases 461
Animals Treated 2406
Dog -678
Cat - 34
Cow -9
Cooped up in corners sans warmth, they often call out for help. Please listen to their pleas and try to provide some warmth to these pawfect beings! You can keep your old, used, torn rugs or bedsheets outside your home where your community strays can come and take a shelter at night. We request you to come forward and join your hands so that our furry friends on the streets do not feel the winter pinch.
Thank you all for your kind contribution, which helped us save many lives. Your kindness is our strength.
