Animal Care Summary for June 2017
Our three mobile clinic vans are fondly called A1, A2, and A3. They represent our A team, and lives up to its name. We have saved many animals from deydration because of the intesnse heat period, and there have been some sweet successes with complete recovery in stray dogs with major injuries. Our field teams treated a total of 1409 un-owned animals in the month of June 2017.
Team A1: Treated a total of 356 animals. June 22 was the busiest day with 14 new cases and 08 follow-ups.
Team A2: Treated a total of 294 animals. June 28 was the busiest day with 12 new cases and 07 follow-ups.
Team A3: Treated a total of 328 animals. June 27 was the busiest day with 16 new cases and 02 follow-ups.
We have a system of logging in all the cases and all new cases of injured or ill dogs are recorded separately, each having a unique case number along with its photo. When the dogs recover from their ailments, we vaccinate them against rabies before closing the case. We vaccinated a total of 583 stray dogs against rabies in the month of June 2017.
Thank you donors, for making this happen! We hope to continue the good deed with the help of our hardworking team and compassionate citizens of our city.
