Jivdaya Charitable Trust organized a unique 'Roti & Milk Party' for street dogs in Ahmedabad on 5th Nov 2017 (Sunday), as part of Animal Care on Wheels community outreach program. This was an event to celebrate the lives of stray animals especially dogs who go through many hardships. We also initiated 'Rabies Free Ahmedabad' initiative during this event and are carried out public awareness on rabies prevention and dog bite first aid. This event promoted compassionate, responsible, and safe living with street animals. We fed around 3000 street dogs and vaccinated around 400 street dogs. We encouraged public participation for assisting with feeding, and vaccinating dogs.
Our Animal Care on Wheels vehicles were engaged fulltime in feeding and vaccinating dogs that day. This event was organized with the main objective of establishing key role of dog-feeders from the community by responsibly participating in vaccination drives.
