Discrimination and intolerance threaten peaceful communities. This project will equip 500 youth in Kano with the knowledge and leadership skills to stand against discrimination. Through workshops, peer dialogue, and youth leadership training, children will learn respect for diversity and human rights. Empowered youth will become advocates for inclusion, helping build safer, more united schools and communities.
Many children in Kano grow up surrounded by ethnic, religious, or social bias. Without guidance, stereotypes can turn into bullying, exclusion, and conflict. Schools rarely provide structured education on diversity or human rights. As a result, discriminatory attitudes persist among youth, undermining social harmony and limiting opportunities for marginalized children.
We will deliver anti-discrimination education and leadership training to 500 youth through school workshops, peer dialogue circles, and mentorship. Youth will learn empathy, human rights, and conflict resolution. Participants will also lead community awareness activities, spreading messages of equality and inclusion among peers and families.
Educated youth become powerful agents of change. This project will build a generation that rejects discrimination and promotes unity. Trained participants will influence peers, schools, and communities, creating lasting shifts in attitudes toward diversity. Over time, this will strengthen social cohesion and reduce discrimination among young people in Kano.
