Learning visual arts, performing arts and music helps our kids develope fundamental cognitive abilities, analytical skills and broadening their horizons! Providing learning experiences that have a significant impact on their academic environment and social development, increasing their chances on continuing their studies and pursuing a career.
Venezuela is currently facing the biggest socio-economical crisis of its history, and our kids come from Petare, one of Latin America's biggest slums. They are exposed daily to crime and insecurity, suffering not only economic but also affective shortcomings. These children are at risk of leaving school to try to find jobs that may help sustain their homes, or even getting involved in crime, because they feel like it's the only option they have when education has lost its value.
Visual arts, performing arts and music helps children develop cognitive, emotional and social skills. Workshops are held Wednesdays and Fridays every afternoon on our headquarters, the course has the same duration of the school year and we have specialized teachers in each of our more than 15 disciplines.
Yearly we educate over 180 kids, providing new opportunities for them and giving them a broader vision of the world; teaching them to dream for a better future, for them, their families and their communities. We help kids receive scholarships and receive the best opportunities to professionalize. Our compromise is raising the cultural level of youth, promoting the generation of civic values, improving quality of life and providing spaces for social integration.
