In 2015, ARTS FOR ALL will send artistic workshops to over 3500 in-need children. Workshops are offered in many artistic disciplines, and are free of charge to the children and organizations we serve.
Arts For All offers accessible artistic opportunities to children aged 5-19 in the New York City area who face socio-economic, physical, or emotional barriers to exploring the arts. Through Arts For All, professional artists work with youth organizations to build self-confidence, self-expression, teamwork, resilience, and creativity in children.
Our programming is made up of 4 branches: the Artistic Residency Program, in which professional artists teach music, theater, dance, visual art, poetry & film workshops to in-need children; Literacy Through the Arts, an arts residency that promotes literacy skills in grades K - 2; the Audience Project Tour that brings a free professional theater production to under-served kids in the NYC area; & the Artistic Exposure Program that offers special extra-curricular opportunities for our students.
Arts For All provides our students with the opportunity to develop life skills such as teamwork, self-confidence, self-expression, creativity and personal resilience through the lens of a specific artistic discipline. It is our belief that arts education offers many opportunities for personal development and can also enhance students' academic careers. Many of our programs are aligned with the Common Core.
