This project continues to provide food packs to the affected communities. The 100 households were assisted with food packages that comprised of Mahangu meals, rice, and tin fish.
Households that have more children and pregnant women have been given a double portion of the packages which comprised of vegetables and milk. This is to help them eat healthy food.
Those on medication are provided according their doctor prescriptions. The traditional authorities are engaged in the food distribution with aim of proofing accountability, effective solution to ownership of the project.
Project management have secured land where food can be grown. This could be helpful to the project extention in future, this would help community to grow vegetables and engaged children in gardening work, promoting self-sustainable and food security.
