Every morning, children in our target communities wake up hoping there will be something to eat before they go to school. For many families, another day without rain means another day of uncertainty. Yet, thanks to the generosity of GlobalGiving donors, hope continues to reach those who need it most.
During this reporting period, your support enabled us to continue providing food assistance and access to clean water for vulnerable families affected by prolonged drought. Young children, school-going children, and young women were among those who benefited from this support. For many households, these interventions meant fewer days without food and renewed hope during an extremely difficult season.
Beyond meeting immediate needs, we continued working with community members to explore practical, long-term solutions to hunger. Families are increasingly embracing simple resilience measures that can help them better withstand future droughts and reduce their dependence on emergency assistance.
However, the humanitarian landscape has become more difficult. The recent USAID funding cuts have affected many grassroots organizations like ours, forcing us to carefully review our plans. While we remain determined to continue serving our communities, we may have to prioritize the most vulnerable households until additional resources become available.
Although the challenges are significant, our hope has not faded. We look forward to the upcoming GlobalGiving fundraising campaign, believing that every donation—large or small—will help keep this project alive. Every gift means another child with a meal, another family with clean water, and another community taking steps toward a more secure future.
From all of us, and from the families whose lives you continue to touch, thank you for believing in this mission. Your kindness is more than a donation—it is hope, dignity, and the promise that vulnerable children and families are not facing these challenges alone.
