Your Generosity has kept a needy child in school

Sheepcare Community Centre has been dedicated to transforming lives in the Soweto Slums of Nairobi, Kenya, since 2002. Our primary focus has been on providing high-quality education to underprivileged children who would otherwise lack access due to the high levels of poverty in the area. Through this initiative, we have seen many children progress to higher education and grow into self-reliant and responsible members of society. This success fuels our commitment to continue this important work.

The goal of our project is to assist needy parents in providing better educational opportunities for their children. Many of these parents, including a significant number of single parents due to broken marriages, face immense challenges in funding their children's education. The funds raised through our efforts are used to purchase school supplies, uniforms, cover medical expenses, and pay school fees. Since the project's inception, we have been able to relieve the financial strain for 87 parents, allowing them to educate their children with less stress. We are eager to extend this support to even more families in the coming year.

We are deeply grateful for your ongoing support through the GlobalGiving platform. Your contributions have played a vital role in keeping children in school and easing the burden on their parents. To date, we have raised a total of $2330, which has directly supported 87 families;we have been able to provide them with stationaries, school uniforms and susbsidize their fees every term, this has greatly lessened the burden on the parents.

We look forward to extend the support to to 300 families in the next one year due to the high numbers of needy children in the area as a result of dysfunctional families. This si however not possible without your kind support. We therefore appeal for your continous support and also to help us reach outh to those within your network to support us in this course.

Thank you, and many blessings.
