Indian Association for the Blind (lAB) Madurai based NGO from South India, working at the grassroots level for the education, employment and rehabilitation of people with visually challenged. It was founded in 1985 by visually challenged activist Late Mr. S.M.A.Jinnah and a group of like-minded visually challenged people to provide comprehensive education, employment and rehabilitation opportunities for socio-economically disempowered visually challenged children and adults with a special focus on those from rural background
IAB believes that technology can empower people with visual disability to live dependently and confidently. With this vision, we create awareness, work towards advocacy, and provide accessibility solutions to assist people with disabilities in using technology. Those assistive devices help the student to become more effective and reliable. This will change their discomfort level to their comfort level. This will bring more enthusiastic in their day to day life and bring more energy in them.
