GlobalGiving Discovery Kit Report #8 March 2023

Discover Kit 7 items 4th to 6th grade
Discover Kit 7 items 4th to 6th grade

Since our last update, The Virgin Islands Children’s Museum has distributed its 7th At Home Discovery Kit. Two hundred human health themed kits were distributed on the islands of St Thomas, St John, and St Croix.

Discovery Kit 7 was presented in reusable shopping bags which contained supplies to help families practice reading skills, engage with activity books and play games that boost human health science literacy. The items in this kit range from crayons, stickers, activity and coloring books, journals, pencils, readers, and games, curated for kids from pre-K to 3rd and for 4th to 6th graders. Children and families learn to be germ busters with proper hand washing techniques and gain the knowledge to keep healthy through cold and flu season and throughout life, via fun and informative discovery kit materials.

The Human Health themed Discovery Kit items were donated or funded by the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Health Immunization Program, theU.S. Virgin Islands Department of Planning and Natural Resources Division of Coastal Zone Management, the Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands, the Virgin Islands Council on the Arts, and through generous donations from the public via our ongoing GlobalGiving.org fundraising initiative: At Home Discovery Kits for VI Families (47832).

Thank you for supporting the Virgin Islands Children’s Museum At Home Discovery Kit program!

Sincerely,

The VICM Team
