Hello!
Today, September 4 is the first day for Class 10 at their Host Organizations. Thank you for the support that enabled these inspiring leaders (doesn't their picture look great!) to embark on this unique learning journey! Already our Fellow Madiha Shafi (Pakistan, serving at CARE USA) shared: "I am so glad to be here. I just had an office tour and meeting with all new colleagues and it is a nice place indeed!"
Now is a great time to become a direct part of the 12-month experience with for these Fellows. GlobalGiving is offering a 100% for new monthly donations made now through September 7, 2012. (For example, if you set up a new $25 monthly recurring donation, GlobalGiving will donate an additional $25 to the project.) It is also a great opportunity to invite a friend to get involved in Atlas Corps...a simple investment can inspire global impact. A great example is the closing reflection of Class 7 Fellow Diana Florez (Colombia, serving at Youth Service America) put her experience into simple terms: "My colleagues and I have delivered 35,360 hours of international service at thirteen host organizations with offices in 5 different cities in the United States of America from September 7, 2011 – August 17, 2012.I have learned from the qualities of hard work, commitment to social development, national pride, and the willingness to share exhibited by this dynamic group of 17 nonprofit leaders, representing 13 different countries and four continents."
Thank you for supporting emerging global leaders like Madiha and Diana! We invite you to become an ongoing part of this experience by becoming a monthly donor.
