Hello!

Thanks to our fabulous network of donors (like YOU), GlobalGiving just named us the March Project of the Month. It means that we will be highlighted to the broader network of GlobalGiving donors. To celebrate, I wanted to share our current Top 3 Highlights of 2013. It is amazing that we can already celebrate so many achievements in only the first two months of the year:

1) Atlas Corps Class 11 Arrives! The Atlas Corps network great to 155 Fellows from 49 countries, including the addition of Belarus, Bolivia, Romania, and Syria, with the welcoming of our class in January. This Class also marked the launch of our Sudanese Civil Society Fellowship and the Think Tank LINKS Fellowship (an initiative focused on engaging think tank professionals).

2) State Department Hosts Atlas Corps Event! For the first time, Atlas Corps hosted a public event at the U.S. State Department. The event highlights our new partnership with the Office for the Special Envoy for Sudan and South Sudan to engage 14 Fellows from Sudan. With 200 people in attendance, Fellows shared their energy with the crowd and our Founder & CEO, Scott Beale, inspired with his words and vision for starting this organization seven years ago. The event was a celebration of citizen diplomacy!

3) Atlas Corps Fellow Wins Intercultural Innovation Award! Aldo Arce (Mexico, Class 9, serving at National Audubon Society) won first place in this award sponsored by the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations and the BMW Group for his Mexican organization, Puerto Joven. Aldo and his organization were honored in the Global Forum in Vienna. See photo featuring Aldo and UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.

in 2013, our goal is to engage at least 60 Fellows (our largest number EVER). Will you continue to show your support? Will you participate in our first individual donation matching campaign on Wednesday, March. 13? All contributions will be matched at 30%.

Let's get ready for more highlights in 2013! When I say "Atlas," you say "Corps!"

Thank you for all the support-

Abby
