Bambi 5 is dedicated to give refuge to babies under two years old that don't have a family environment to grow-up in. We guarantee them an affectionate care, feeding, medical attention, vaccinations, and early stimulation. We also offer orientation and support to biological and adoptive parents, ensuring that babies return to a family a soon as possible.
The social deterioration due to lack of jobs and salaries that are not enough to access basic needs affects the living conditions of many Venezuelans, specially those in poverty. This scenario is of greater risk for babies and toddlers up to 2 years old due to their complete dependence. Many of them are given to relatives or foster institutions with critical health due to lack of hygiene, malnutrition, anemia, respiratory infections and gastro problems and with no immunizations nor checkups.
Hogar Bambi 5 offers shelter and warmth to approximately 80 children under two years old, giving them good living conditions that favor the recovery and stability of their nutritional needs, health and overall, wellbeing. They are cared with shelter, food, clothing, footwear, medical attention and special cares, avoiding psychological damages in these early stages. A great effort is also dedicated to their return to a stable family.
This project helps children deprived of a family to overcome the risk that attempts against their development and life expectancy. The comprehensive care they receive lets them recover their weight and height indicators, strengthens their motor abilities, improves their state of tranquility and security giving them stable conditions so they may return to families that will protect them. Supporting a baby with social risk is rescuing and guaranteeing him a dignified life.
