Hogar Bambi 5 is a safe and warm home for babies who are separated from their family due to mistreatment, neglect and abandonment. Since September 2021, babies have occupied this new house. A group of caretakers, maintenance and logistics staff, pediatric staff, social workers and operational management take care of these babies. Bambi 5 has the capacity to shelter 36 babies. For the trimester September-November of this year, at least 4 babies (3 females and 1 male) were admitted. A total of 6 children were also sent with different families. This is a great satisfaction because we break the cycle of institutionalization and restore their right to grow up in a family.
During their stay, all babies are fed according to their age and health condition. In order to develop their sensory self-regulation abilities to produce adaptive responses, better functional grasp and security when taking their first steps, these babies have early stimulation and intervention in fine and gross psychomotor skills.
Keeping Bambi 5 doors open depends on the help of many. Therefore, once again we reiterate our gratitude for joining the task of providing second chances to children victims of poverty and family abandonment. Thanks to the collaborators, today Bambi 5 "Tio Paco" house has the equipment and the human talent committed to the social work of protecting the life and development of these babies in vulnerable conditions.
