Thanks to generous donor support to our “East Bali Bamboo Bikes Social Enterprises Appeal” crowdfunding campaign to raise funds to provides seed funding for developing our Social Enterprise to promote and sell our unique bamboo bikes, under the brand of "East Bali Bamboo Bikes": eastbalibamboobikes.com. This latest crowdfunding campaign followed on from our Bamboo Workshop campaign that we launched in 2016.
Although we have not achieved our target, your contributions gave us opportunity to start this social enterprises effort. We now have a well equipped bamboo bike workshop with a wide range of tools and equipment. We will now develop a strategy to promote, market and showcase our beautiful bamboo bikes to get optimum exposure as we have not yet had enough sales to generate any profit to support our community development programmes, the ultimate goal of creating this social enterprise.
We have therefore decided to deactivate this project on GlobalGiving platform and this is our final report. We will pursue other avenues to raise the seed funds needed.
