Imagine growing up without access to school. In a remote mountain hamlet in Bali, 25 children in EBPP's Pengalusan School on Mount Agung depend on your support to continue their education. Their parents, mostly semiliterate farmers, dream of a brighter future through their children. Just US$425 per student per year gives these children the chance to learn, grow, and break the cycle of poverty.
With no nearby government schools or public transport, EBPP schools are the only chance for education in these isolated villages. Many teens face pressure to drop out for work or early marriage. But thanks to peer support and EBPP's providing not just academic lessons but also extracurricular life skills-computer, financial literacy, and career readiness-helping students stay in school and have confidence to dream of a brighter future.
Education transforms whole communities. By teaching these children, we also educate their parents and inspire younger generations. EBPP combines the national curriculum with health, nutrition, art, bamboo handicraft and life skills-making learning fun, relevant, and empowering for life in their mountain communities.
Education opens doors. More than 320 EBPP students have already gained the knowledge and skills to navigate their future. Some have started small businesses, taken short courses to work abroad, joined hospitality training, and five have continued to university. Several graduates are now community leaders. With your support, more children will follow in their footsteps-educated, confident, and ready to lift their families out of poverty.
