Supporting Students' Creativity and Collaboration

By I Wayan Suteja | EBPP Pengalusan Headmaster

Over the past four months, students at Pengalusan and Jatituhu have continued their learning through academic preparation, creative programs, and extracurricular activities. These programs help students strengthen not only their academic skills but also their creativity, collaboration, and confidence.

Academic Learning and Parent Communication
After completing their midterm exams in October, students prepared for their final semester exams held from December 8–12, 2025. Report cards were distributed on December 19, and parents were invited to attend. This meeting provided an important opportunity for teachers and families to discuss students’ progress and reflect on their learning throughout the semester. Together, parents and teachers explored ways to better support students in the coming term. By the end of February, Grade 9 students also successfully participated in a practice session for the online TKA (National Academic Ability Test).

Computer Learning
Students continued developing their digital literacy through computer classes. They practiced using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel to type documents and organize simple data. These lessons help students become familiar with essential digital tools widely used in education and professional life.

Youth Empowerment: Sports and Wall Magazine Competitions
In November, Pengalusan and Jatituhu students joined the Empower Program, which included sports competitions promoting gender equality and a wall magazine (Mading) competition. Pengalusan students achieved second place in both futsal and volleyball. In the wall magazine competition, Jatituhu students collaborating with Darmaji students won first place, while Pengalusan students achieved second place. These activities strengthened teamwork, creativity, and confidence.

Art and Music Programs
Students also explored their creativity through art classes, where they practiced sketching objects, fruits, animals, and natural scenes while learning shading techniques with pencils and watercolor. They created illustrated stories, short comics, greeting cards for Christmas and New Year, and motivational artwork.

Since December, several students have also participated in music activities combining modern instruments with the traditional Balinese bamboo instrument Cungklik. Together they practiced performing songs such as Cening Putri Ayu, Ratu Anom, Sampun Panamaya, and Sayonara, strengthening both musical skills and appreciation for Balinese culture.

Thank you for your continued support. Because of your generosity, students in Pengalusan and Jatituhu can continue to learn, grow, and develop their talents for the future.
