Care and Educate slum kids in Guntur, India

Thank you so much for your kind continuous support to this project! Very kind of you and grateful to you all!

I am very glad to submit a brief report of this project. Currently we are running 5 basic education centers through this project at Sundarayya Colony, KVP Colony, Dasaripalem, Siddhartha Stone crushers and Shalom agar, Edlapadu. 200 children are educating through these 5 centers. We are effectively running the centers with efficient staff include 7 teachers, 5 care takers along with me and two volunteers. Slowly we are improving facilities to the centers. Currently we are providing mid day meals in 3 centers about 150 children. The parents are very happy to send their children to the schools and feel safe and thought that their children get learning, educating and also get a meal. Actually before all the children are out of schools for long years without education and some children are dropouts. Now these children are very happily attending to the schools.

Some of the children are already promoted to further classes and the new academic year is already started from 11^th of June 2012. We did not give summer holidays and from 1^st May onwards we are running half day schools due to severe summer here as every day 45 Degrees Celsius temperature recorded. But children are likes to coming school and stay until afternoon. Some of the local government officials and education department people are regularly visiting these schools.

I humbly request you to kindly support this project and help the needy children with us in this new academic year 2012 to 13.
