Care and Educate slum kids in Guntur, India

our hearts are full of gratitude for your incredible 12-year commitment to the children of Guntur's slum communities. This quarter (July to October 2025) has been marked by significant growth and steadfast support, directly impacting approximately 250 children. Our mission centers around providing a stable foundation through quality education and essential care, and your generosity makes this possible every single day.

Our Main Upper Primary School in Dasaripalem continues to be a safe haven for 120 students (Grades 1-7), supported by six dedicated teachers. Crucially, we have seen successful academic promotion, with 20 students advancing and a fresh intake of 30 new children joining the main school this year.

Furthermore, our Evening Learning Centers in Swarna Bharathi Nagar and Lingayapalem are thriving, reaching an additional 150+ children with vital after-school support. We are especially proud to have initiated a new center in a different area of the Lingayapalem slum, welcoming 40 more children into our educational fold.

We understand that education requires holistic support. Therefore, the consistent provision of daily midday meals and evening snacks remains paramount, addressing critical nutritional needs.

To remove barriers to attendance, we provided school bags and uniforms to all children. We also strategically distributed 20 bicycles to students transitioning to high school (Grade 8) and those traveling long distances, ensuring they arrive at school on time.

Additionally, we facilitate auto transportation for high school graduates from our school. Throughout this period, we maintained a rich learning environment, celebrating key events like Independence Day, Teachers' Day, Dusshera, and Diwali, alongside regular academic assessments and health check-ups.

This vital work, which secures a brighter future for these deserving children, relies entirely on your continued support.

While we received US$1,204 this quarter, we face urgent needs to sustain our operations. We appeal for your assistance with staff salaries, educational materials, and daily meal expenses.
