The COVID-19 pandemic has thrown many people and families into unimaginable poverty in Nigeria, many aren't capable of feeding themselves and their children anymore. This project will provide palliative such as food items and hygiene materials to 4000 families, also providing relif funds to 4000 women who hail from the poorest segment of rural communities in northern Nigeria so that they can cater for their children and families need.
The lockdowns and social distancing measures put in place to curb the spread of Covid-19 in Nigeria had had a severe negative impact on farms and factories as well as on trade, transport and tourism.The hardest hit region by the pandemic is northern Nigeria where majority of people entirely rely on their meagre daily income for survival.This project will affect more than 4000 most vulnerable households living in the rural communities whose sources of livelihoods have been impacted.
The project will provide palliative for 4,000 families with food items, hygiene care and relief funds. Women will be empowered as part of efforts to provide lifesaving support to most vulnerable children and families living in slums. Our state cordinators and community leaders are on ground working tirelessly in collaboration with other stakeholders to respond to any emergency situations expecialy at this time of golobal pandemic.
This project will provide relief funds and hygiene equipments for 4,000 households in Nigeria, enabling them to feed themselves and their families which will also provide for their health and well-being.
